3 Eating Habits That Prevents You From Losing Weight

Are you trying to lose weight and no matter how hard you try you just can't see any real progress? Going on an all out diet is certainly a possibility and can be a great way to create that "shake up" that you probably need in your daily diet. In reality we don't need to go on a diet to lose weight. In fact, it can backfire and you can end up gaining more weight. When you deprive your body of essential nutrients it only gets better as storing fat.

The real secret is that instead of changing your eating habits for a short while (like with a diet) you have to change it permanently. Many of your little eating habits are probably responsible for your current weight and by changing some small things you can make some drastic changes. Lets quickly look at 3 of them.

1. Sugar


Excess sugar is so bad for you. Not only does it make you gain more weight but it actually prevents you from losing weight. Hidden sugars is an epidemic in our culture and with so many food being sold as "sugar free" its actually laced with artificial sweeteners which is ten times worse. You need to weed out sweet stuff because its nothing but a bad habit and something that can easily be a mild addiction. Stop drinking sugar in your coffee and stop drinking sweet drinks when you are thirsty. Drink water instead - it will actually quench your thirst and help you lose weight.

2. Seconds


The habit of eating seconds is nothing but a terrible habit. Your stomach is roughly the size of your fist and anything more than that you eat is probably excessive. The trouble with eating is that the more you eat, the more you can eat and most people who are overeating gradually upped the anti until they got to a point where they are eating enough for two people. Stop going for seconds. Its as simple as that. Cutting down on the quantity of food is the number one way to stop gaining weight.

3. Buying food


Cooking a wholesome meal after a long day at the office can be a real challenge. The alternative to simply buy take away is a really bad habit that you need to break. Take-aways are high in saturated fats and low in nutrients. A home cooked meal that is made from fresh ingredients is a vital part of living a healthy life. Don't just go for the easy way out. In the end a home cooked meal tastes much better anyway and won't leave you feeling hungry after an hour or two.

Your Weight Loss Program - Part 2

In my previous article we discussed your weight goal and how to find it. We also touched on the need for diet and exercise combined to lose weight. In this article we will discuss crash dieting and why it may actually cause you to gain weight in the long run.

In the United States crash dieting is a multi billion dollar industry. You see the ads on television each and everyday trying to sell you the latest diet supplement or quick loss program. Do these programs work? Absolutely! And these marketers get rave reviews from their customers. At least initially they do, but you find that frequently these customers gain their weigh back as well as more weight.

A lot of your initial weight loss is water loss. You diet and lose 10 pounds in one week and you feel great. All is well in the world and then you stop losing weight. What has happened? Your body has adjusted to your low calorie intake and is now shutting down. It has decreased your metabolic rate to preserve itself. And the body will burn the lean muscle mass to preserve the stores of calories it needs to survive and those calories are in the fat stores.

Another thing that happens with the quick weight loss diets is that your body burns the lean body mass and thus needs fewer calories to sustain your weight. Let's look at an example. Betty needs 2500 calories to maintain her current weight. She decides to diet and goes on a 1000 calorie per day diet. She loses weight but approximately 60% of her weight loss was lean body mass. So in the two week period she lost 20 pounds and 12 pounds of it was lean body mass. Now as we discussed in the last article lean muscle burns 30 to 70 calories per day so her body now needs 360 to 840 calories less per day to maintain.

Now she goes back to her 2500 calories per day of food intake. Using a conservative figure of 360 calories less per day her body needs she will gain 1 pound every 10 days on the 2500 calorie diet she was used to. So now even though she is doing nothing more than she did before her diet she is gaining weight again.

So as you can see the quick weight loss diet may not be good from the point of regaining the weight afterwards. You must also realize that during the dieting phase you may be depriving your body of much needed nutrients and vitamins. Fast weigh loss has been associated with the development of gallstones and you may experience lose skin from the loss of body mass while your skin has no opportunity to shrink.

Natural Tips to Lose Weight

Overweight is a major health issue today and if not taken seriously at the earliest, it can lead to many other health related problems. In order to solve this health issue, a number of products have been manufactured that claim to be effective in shedding extra calories. 5) Take food in a smaller plate. If the plate is big, the quantity of food that is being put on it may look lesser than the usual quantity and therefore you may feel like taking more.

6) Make sure that you don't eat your food fast. Remember that the digestion process starts from the mouth.

7) In certain cases where fresh foods are not available, take frozen ones as they are equally nutritious.

8) Take less table salt. Avoid taking junk foods and carbonated beverages.

Список обязательных видов страхования в Украине может расшириться

Минрегионстрой предлагает дополнить список обязательных видов страхования новой позицией. Об этом, в частности, идет речь в проекте закона "О дополнении статьи 7 Закона Украины "О страховании"", обнародованном на сайте Министерства.

Минрегионстрой предлагает отнести к обязательным видам страхования страхование жизни и здоровья должностных лиц инспекций государственного архитектурно-строительного контроля.

В случае принятия проекта страховые компании, желающие пополнить список своих клиентов, относящихся к вышеуказанной категории, сначала должны будут получить лицензию на этот вид страхования.

К слову, согласно вышеуказанной статье Закона о страховании на сегодняшний день в Украине существует около сорока видов обязательного страхования, среди которых есть медицинское страхование, личное страхование медицинских и фармацевтических работников на случай заболевания ВИЧ при исполнении служебных обязанностей, страхование спортсменов высших категорий, личное страхование от несчастных случаев на транспорте, страхование гражданско-правовой ответственности собственников наземных транспортных средств, страхование гражданской ответственности инвестора.

При этом следует обратить внимание, что Закон не содержит каких-либо критериев отнесения того или иного вида страхования к обязательному.
